So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion;
respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
even a stranger, when in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself.

Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled
with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep
and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home

Thank You

It’s time to pump up the volume all you in the area

From suburbs, slums and ghettos through America

I’m here to break the barriers unify you and I

Cause under one God we all are humankind

No matter the race, creed, color, or state of mind

There’s much to celebrate in this space and time

So I… deliver these rhymes to uplift the mind

Spirit and soul with every rhyme I unfold

And hold my head low and stay humble

Cause who knows what piece tomorrow will bring to the puzzle

I huddle my hands together and give praise

No matter the weather God’s sun provides the rays

And lights the way through this desolate maze

Where the obstacles of life can leave your confidence dazed

But I maintain through strife struggle and strain

Gain character from persevering through pain

And it’s strange how I’ve complained when others have had it worse

Lacking in understanding of the next mans hurt

But now I comprehend as I write this verse

Saying… thanks, for the roof over our heads

As we rejoice, for every day that we’re fed

We giving praise ya’ll, to the creator above

For giving us hope in life and promoting the love

The earth rapidly rotates at a miraculous rate

And we still seek to find the definition of appreciate

The gift of life is a gift in itself see

And this goes out to middle class broke and wealthy

I like to recognize all the things in my lifetime

Stayin alive or the ability to write rhymes

Uplift the mind through these treacherous times

I give props to all mighty cause the sun still shines

I walk the earth mad cool with a righteous attitude

Manifest my humbleness and express my gratitude

Realize the worth and quality of things that I got

Cause all things that you have kid you might have not

As I drop you say “word” but check the words that I say

Just like the Lord giveth he can taketh away

And today I take time to realize the strife

Of many people with they conflicts and difficult lives

Open your ears wide, I hope the message ya get

And if you’re broke with no job or financially set let’s correct

The issues at hand the moves we faking

And start demonstrating the love for appreciation

Like Mobb Deep we got ya stuck off the realness

And motivate so ya next to kin will feel this

We on drive ya best peel quick

We give thanks for the roof over our heads

And rejoice, for every day that we’re fed

We give praise for good peoples around us

Uplifting the spirit let progression surround us

And count the blessings found in life’s lessons

With every negative there’s a positive message

So step in these shoes for just a few

They may fit snug, if so we’re talking to you

Our story unfolds in a town with a beautiful view

Where money flows through pockets but people still feud

And closer to the ground, bums hunger for food

Embracing nickels of hope or pennies just for booze

While we view, the television we see

People at war with each other, themselves, and we

Dying by the thousands, how thankful we be

So I’m trying to keep it moving “cause there’s a reason we’re free”

I said we gotta keep it moving “there’s a reason we’re free”

Yo we trying to make moves “one time for ya mind”

I said we gotta keep it moving

So we find humility… and give thanks to thee.

Never Thought

I still remember the first time I heard it, at least in a sense

not one particular occasion but a series of events

That somehow, in the long run, guided my way

since the very first time.

And then I knew I’d never leave it,

keep it beneath the surface

hidden in my decisions, I’m certain I found my purpose

So I became a soul searching individual

my main focus in life was really quite spiritual

But it was music that opened up my eyes

a sound so profound like a voice in the sky

Speaking in ways, amazed at this message inside

over time I realized that those voices were mine

And there was something alive,

but couldn’t quite get it right

something in the vibe of my soul I just didn’t like

I spit it tight at times at other times my rhymes felt wrong

until I found you my one perfect song

Beat and words and melodies combined

inside the thought of you makes a perfect rhyme

feel the love in mine.

and I remember, when they use to ask me

what you want to be when you grow out of your acme?

lawyer, doctor or maybe an athlete?

PhD? Masters? live forever happily? Well..

I never thought that we would ever get this way

from b.s.’n professions on resumes

to using textbooks as pillows to rest my brain

plus, entertained me when class was lengthy

plenty you brought me when kids did mock me

saying, I’m a nerd, straight introvert

now irony’s eying me all over the earth

reciting my words from third worlds to suburbs

country sides where the vibe’s preferred

to big city living where the pace is absurd

traveling places, I never ever thought I’d see

who would have thought you’d be

a part of my life the two of us you and me

I never thought that we would ever get this way

I never thought that we would ever see this day

Of the billion people that could’ve took your place

You found your way, somehow someway

Sometimes I wonder about our future and all

We find ourselves fighting, when monies involved

I wish it were care free like when we were small

Enjoying your company comfortably without faults

But those bills keep punching me, constantly

Knocking my wind, caught in a pinch, haunting me

So I had to prostitute you

You stood strong, Game face on I salute you

But look what happened, clients refused to

Pay for your play and this way they got use to

But it was good promoting your ass though

They saw you had curves while it hurt our cash flow

A starving artist with your heart in my lasso

Free ninety nine or a dime we’ll last yo

You stuck around even when I was asshole

I gave you my all, ‘cause you were so special

Massage you melodies without getting sexual

No need to cuss at ya, I keep it professional

Check my decibels, no need to yell

Spit it smooth, it ain’t hard to tell..

Truth

it seems like everybody wanna play God but they blame God,
shame God, spit and lie to the same God
can’t explain why people ask for rain, then complain
about plain skies and the pain that comes to aged guys
a sage dies speakin’ last words of wisdom but the masses say
“please don’t let them touch my eardrums”
just leave ‘em, they be deaf till their death,
but if no one ever listens does it matter what I said?

Everytime I look u strainght into your eyes, I can’t explain this feeling but i stumbled in my mind.
The touch of your hands and the touch of your lips, makes the temperature warm so I know that this is it!
